WINGATE -- Mrs. Mary Ellen Weekly, 87, a resident of Wingate since 1918, died Sunday night in a Frankfort hospital. She had been in failing health for several years. Born July 6, 1872 at Abbington, Va., Mrs. Weekly was the daughter of William and Emma Wilkinson. She married Clarence Weekly in 1909. The husband died in 1912. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Mildred Byers, Rt. 5, Lafayette; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Charles Games of La Porte; a stepson, Elmer Earl of La Porte; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The body was taken to the Servies Funeral Home in Waynetown where services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be at the Riverside Cemetery at Attica. Rev. Homer Hunsinger of Lebanon will be the officiating minister. Friends may call at the funeral home, beginning at 2 p.m. Tuesday.
